Dr. Byrum Selected by NCA to Present at Invitation-Only Conference in Beijing

Dr. Byrum was selected by the National Communication Association to participate in a multicultural conference, Communication, Media and Governance in the Age of Globalization in June 2016 in Beijing, China. The invitation-only event was held on the campus of the Communication University of China (CUC) and featured speakers from the United States, China and other countries in the Far East. During the three day event at the CUC International Center in Beijing, scholars, media practitioners, government officials, and students participated in open discussions regarding media. Dr. Byrum’s presentation, spoken in English, was simultaneously translated to participants via headsets.

The Communication University of China, is the leading institution for research, teaching and the practice of journalism, radio, television, and other media professions in China.  The event was co-sponsored by the National Communication Association and the NCA Task Force to Foster International Collaborations in the Age of Globalization.
