During the annual meeting of the International Association for Media and Communications Research (IAMCR), Dr. Byrum was invited to present a paper in the media law division in the summer of 2016. She traveled to the University of Leicester in Leicester, England, to present the paper“Privacy Tug of War: The European Right to be Forgotten and the U.S. Constitution’s First Amendment,” to the Media Law Section of IAMCR. While in England, Dr. Byrum met with global scholars to discuss communications theories and practices. Dr. Byrum speaks on First Amendment topics and teaches Media Law and Ethics at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. She is a former journalist and public relations executive.
